What Actually is Blockchain?

Such a simple question. Yet I couldn’t find straightforward answers on the vast internet.

This podcast episode is what I needed to hear.

When I wanted to learn about blockchain, I could find complex, technical explanations. And I could find shallow explanations.

My brain couldn’t process the complex ones. But the shallow ones didn’t give me enough information to understand the practical implications of blockchain.

The question I want to answer is:

Will blockchain be useful in the real estate industry?

Sounds so basic. However, that basic question cannot be answered without a degree of understanding of how blockchain actually works.

This podcast is my “distillation” of research I’ve done. The explanations I use are rudimentary to the true blockchain expert. However, for the newly curious I believe it provides a good foundation.
